I have discovered a deliscious and low calorie, low sugar banana bread, which makes the perfect treat with some low fat yoghurt after dinner.
Ingredients
3 Mashed Banana's
60g Melted Butter (low salt preferrably)
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate soda
Method
1. With an electric beater, mix together the banana's and butter until smooth.
2. Add in the eggs and mix
3. Add the flour and bicarb soda and mix through.
4. Cook in oven at 180C for 50-60 minutes.
Serves 8 people. One slice is worth 114.4 calories. No added sugar means you only get the natural sugar from the banana's. And if you wanted, you could always had some walnuts, or sultanas or even a bit of apple, just for a bit of a twist. Just make sure you add on the calories for those added goodies.
I am constantly on the look out for good natural healthy sweet snacks for the both the kids at school and after dinner treats. If you have a great recipe make sure you add it in the comment section. I'd love to see it.
Or alternatively you can email me on matthew5.14-16@hotmail.com and send me your recipe. I think once a week I might feature a recipe on here. One of my passions is cooking, so why not share it with the world.
Love you all
Sam
