A little bit about me!!

Well now let me tell you a bit more about my self....

I was born Samantha Davies in June of 1976.  To my parents Dorothy and John.

Growing up, I lived in Melbourne, Blackburn to be precise.  Some of my favourite memories revolve around my grandparents home in Lusher Road Croydon, which is now part of the Johnson and Johnson factory.... those damned Johnsons!!

As I grew I attended Warrawong Primary School, which lost it's life in the Kennet Government cuts.  And then I attended Blackburn South High School....which also shut down..... the house I grew up in, is also in the process of being pulled down... then the places I worked Petals and Plants Florist and Forest Hills Red Rooster and Nubrik... they all shut down too.... do you see a theme here.... if you are wanting to end your business, school or home come see me, my aura seems to shut them down...

Well back to the point.  High school was shit!!  I don't know anyone that says "Oh high school I loved high school" or maybe I just hang around the people that were bullied and outcasts like me.  I was the butt of a lot of jokes, I even had a guy throw money at me once because he thought I would suck his dick if he did.... yes that's how you get oral sex!!  Anywho,  my family were proud of me when I went into high school:

I hated sport so I'm not sure why my grandfather made me pose like this!!  But he did none the less and I obliged... oh and those black shoes, which evidently became very popular recently, volleys... well we used to call them sandshoes.  I hated them!!  I was so annoyed with my mum that she would buy such things... but that was what the school wanted us to wear she said.... I must admit I have done the same thing to my children... I guess the apple doesn't ever fall to far from the tree!!

Oh and that shed, see the shed behind me, how many memories do I have of that shed. We used to play in it when it was hot, and we were allowed to play with the hose, after all it was the 80's.  One of us, either myself, my sister Karen or my brother Joel, would live in the shed, and the porch at the back step would be their place of business, you see our parents always instilled a strong work ethic in us.  Well it would be raining (ie the hose) and they would have to run from their house to work in the rain.... Now that I look back at it I have to wonder, where the heck was the fun in that? But we had a ball and would spend hours under the hose, no wonder their was a drought!!

But that shed was where, as I got older, would sit in the old recliner with the doors open, reading a book waiting for my boyfriend Michael to come and visit on his pink bike.  He was an Italian Stallion.  It's funny I was watching the movie wog boy the other day, and there is an Italian guy in it, his name is Frank.  And in one scene the girl see's him and it's like he has his own gravital pull and she is basically on top of him and kissing him.... I as a 16 year old girl understood this pull that an Italian boy with a perm and greased hair can have... How many times I got into trouble for kissing Michael on the street.... Oh too many to count.... And it wasn't even him that knocked me up!! That didn't happen until I was 20!!

That happened when I met David... Oh it was love at first sight, I was in a sort of relationship with a guy.  It was one of those relationships where you can't stand each other, and fight every day, but for some stupid reason don't walk away until you find that person of your dreams.  Well I did, a handsome man, driving a Ford Escort that used to fill up with water every time it rained, a shaved head, and muscles to die for.  There he was working the box factory, being all manly and sweaty.  It was inevitable really!!

So there we were, me twenty and David nineteen.  Three months together and me pregnant.  I was terrified to tell my parents, I mean I was pregnant!!  And I wasn't married... but to my relief they were happy for us.  And along came my biggest boofhead!!  Shannon Edward King was born on the 22nd of August 1997, 8 pounds 6 ounces, with beautiful red hair.  He was born at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, can I just say that if I was dying I still wouldn't go to that hospital!! Not only did I give birth in a waiting room, I was forced to try and breast feed until my nipples bled!!  Shit!!

Oh Shannon was so beautiful, full of life, always ready to do something so much quicker than he needed to... He is still that way.  I remember one day when he was 6 months old, and I went to a new mothers group with him, and he was crawling all over the place.  No one told me that he wasn't meant to be doing that... One mum looked at the health centre nurse and said... "My baby isn't going to be doing that is he?" I burst into tears, I thought I had done something wrong, Shannon was just Shannon.  The nurse told me that he was fine that he was just a bit advanced for his age and not to panic about it.

But when Shannon was sixteen months old along came our latest addition.  Samuel Connor King was born on the 18th of November 1998.  Beautiful brown hair, big blue eyes.  Unfortunately Samuel was born with Club Feet, and so within two hours was put into plasters.  It broke our heart, but now that he is older, we see how strong he truly is!! He now has other problems, in the fact that he was also born with short sightedness, and is now slowly going blind.  But no matter what happens, he is an amazing kid!!

It was in 2001 that our youngest son was born.  We were living in Ballarat Victoria at the time, when on the 21st of April 2001 our last son Peter John King was born, a hefty boy, born six weeks early weighing in at 6 pounds 3 ounces.  The doctors said that if he were to go full term he wold have been a 12 pound baby.  I'm glad he came early!! I just don't think my vagina could have handled that!!

Well a beautiful blonde baby with big blue eyes, at least they all had something in common all had the same dad and big blue eyes!! That was a rarity in Ballarat!! The same dad bit, not the blue eyed bit.

Well since our children were born we have moved to Eaglehawk, Victoria, which is a suburb of Bendigo.  I love it here, but long for a farm, where I can raise more children... of the four legged variety.  I am about to start my Bachelor in Psychology in a few weeks, which will see me facing 8 years of study. It's a little daunting but very much exciting!!  I hope to be able to work with children who have mental disabilities, but I may change my mind in eight years.

So where is everyone else? Well my parents have moved from Blackburn and now live in Ballarat, along with my brother Jack, and my sister and her husband.  My other brother Joel, he lives in Melbourne.  We all grew up, Joel an actor, Karen a nurse and Jack a Bar attendant.  My sons, Shannon now 14, wanting to be a chef, Samuel now 13 and wanting to be a carpenter and Peter 10 who would like to be a doctor. But you know something I would be happy with whatever they choose as long as they are healthy and happy.  My hubby well he owns his own cleaning business and works part time at a petrol station, so that we can have that farm a little sooner.

So now you know a little more about me.

Love you all

Sam
